If it is time to lift that ban on the WhatsApp group after everyone has served their time, you can once again allow group members to send messages to the group.
WhatsApp groups have become an integral part of our daily lives, connecting us with family, friends, colleagues, and like-minded individuals. While they are excellent platforms for communication and sharing, sometimes group admins may unintentionally or intentionally restrict members from sending messages. This may inadvertently dampen the group’s spirit and active engagement.
As a group admin, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with the WhatsApp group settings that control message sending permissions. You have the authority to configure these settings, allowing you to customize the group’s dynamics to suit its purpose.

Allow WhatsApp Group Members To Send Messages To the Group
Simply open WhatsApp and navigate to the group you want to modify. Once inside the group chat, look for the group name at the top. Tap on it to access the group info page.
On the group info page, you’ll find various details about the group and its members. Look for the Group Settings option, usually displayed as a gear icon. Tap on it to proceed to the group settings.
In the group settings, you’ll see a list of options that control different aspects of the group. Locate the Participants Can: section and find the option to Send Messages.
To allow group members to send messages, tap on the toggle button next to the Send Messages option. The button turns green from grey, and that grants members the privilege send messages once again.
Once you have enabled the Send Messages option, every member of the group will be notified that they can now send messages once again. The text box will also re-appear and be accessible to everyone.
Disable Sending Messages On WhatsApp Groups
If Send Messages is turned off, participants will not be able to send messages. They will also receive a notification on their end, telling them as much. The text box will be absent for all members and it will be replaced by a section that reads Only admins can send messages.
However, only admins are able to send messages, even when the Send Messages option is turned off. Therefore, admins will still have the text box available.
It is also important to note that, even though the option to send messages has been disabled for the group member, they will still be able to read the messages sent by the admins to the group.
Remember, with great power comes great responsibility. As a group admin, it is essential to strike a balance between allowing members to express themselves and maintaining a respectful and secure group environment.
